Welcome to Hundekosmos!
I'm Milu, the person behind Hundekosmos - the mobile dog school and dog physiotherapy in Berlin.
I love dogs, and I love people in all their diversity. I'm passionate about helping you and your dog find more quality of life and relaxation in your everyday lives.
About Me
I live in Berlin-Lichtenberg with my two dogs from animal shelters.
Born in 1982, my heart has always belonged to dogs. But before I put this passion into my professional focus, I worked for over 10 years as a social worker after my studies, volunteered as a mental health consultant and in animal welfare and event management, traveled and spent a lot of time in France, where I was part of a natural wine collective. Dogs were always there.
Both back then in social work and today in my work with dog-human teams, I repeatedly meet beings who suffer from the expectations of this society. I am happy to offer you my support.
Values
In my work with dog-human teams, I focus on a relaxed approach, fair communication, expertise, and intuition.
The applicability in your everyday life is always the top priority, and each dog is an individual. I don't work according to a specific scheme or follow an ideology. I work with an open mind. This means that I adapt to each dog-human team so that you can achieve your very personal goal.
To refine your communication, the focus is particularly on your dog's body language and learning behavior. I will provide you with the latest scientific findings. I am continuously training and in close professional exchange with colleagues.
I approach your problems without judgment, with a healthy zest for life and balance.
My Dogs
Yuko
Yuko, born in 2016, a herding dog mix from a Polish animal shelter. She loves people and, as a self-proclaimed “Hundeskanzlerin”, likes to regulate excessive dynamics. The first years with this "tornado of love" were very challenging due to her big nervousness. Today she is a balanced dog and we are a balanced team. With her boundless zest for life, she wraps everyone around her paw.
Lovis
Lovis, born in 2021, a herding dog mix male from a Romanian shelter. He knew nothing at all when he came to us. Everything frightened and terrified the fluffy fox and he just wanted to run away. In the meantime he has developed a lot and shows that despite some insecurities he is simply a totally funny guy who enjoys his life very much and likes to flirt with other dogs.
Collaborations & Network
Dog around the block - Hotel for dogs in Fehrbellin near Berlin
My colleague Tina lives on a farm and has a hotel for dogs there (only 50 minutes from Berlin). When she's doing something else, I enjoy the farm life in the countryside and spending time with many dogs. I have continuous contact and communication with different dog types in different group constellations. This enriches my work in dog training and dog physiotherapy very much.
An absolute recommendation if you want to go on vacation or need a few days off from your dog. She also offers muzzle consultation and fitting!
BVZ - Berufsverband zertifizierter Hundetrainer
The BVZ is the Association of Certified Dog Trainers. It has very high standards for the quality of training and consulting for dogs and humans and makes a significant contribution to the professional design and further development of the occupational profile of dog trainers.
As a member of the BVZ, I am committed to working with dogs and their owners in a way that is professionally qualified, scientifically sound and ideologically neutral in terms of education. In the BVZ, I am networked with like-minded people and am constantly training further in order to continuously improve the quality of the training.
